About Hywel Harris
Hywel Harris a photographer and graphic designer/artist, based in the North West of England. He studied at Cheshire School of Art and Design, and his photography has been published in such music titles as NME, Select and Mixmag, as well as the UK national newspaper The Guardian.
He has also worked as a graphic designer and website specialist, for a range of people and organizations. In 2009, he designed, illustrated and co-wrote the critically acclaimed book Hail! Hail! Rok’n’Roll with the author John Harris.
He is currently completing a long-running photographic project about life on and around British pleasure piers, based around their architectural beauty, their place in the landscape, and their role in social and cultural life. In relation to that work, he is currently seeking exhibition space, as well as gallery/artist’s representation.
